Students can collect unique data, entering their data, all intermediate calculations, and final answers into Google Forms, which will export to Google Spreadsheet. The Google Spreadsheet will use the student data to calculate an answer key for the first intermediate step, check the students' data against a range of permissible answers, and assign a single mark if the students' intermediate answer falls within this range. It then uses the students answer (whether correct or not), to generate an answer key for the second intermediate answer, and the process repeats. At the end, it will total the marks assigned and give a final mark for the student. Once set up, this allows for teachers to quickly mark labs and activities with student-generated values, checking the accuracy of each calculation, and carrying the mistakes through. For this session, prior knowledge of spreadsheets is highly recommended.
