Outreach education roundtable.  Open discussion around the concerns of Outreach educators, the impact of the "new reality" and an opportunity to share, collect, and critique   resources we use in Outreach schools.

The purpose of the upcoming Outreach Round Table will be to discuss  the impacts of COVID on both you and your students, create a list of resources that are relevent to our students, and discuss the impact of the loss of  ADLC as our prime resource base. My role will be that of a monitor, I will not be presenting anything at the round table, I’ll just be providing guidance of discussion.

My hope is to break the session into 4 parts:

1: Introduction of participants  - name, local,  name of school,  and how long you’ve been involved in Outreach Education (11:40am - 11:45am)

2. Impacts of COVID -  new technology, at home learning, increased responsibilities, impact it has had on your students - particularly this years graduates, Impact it has had on you.(11:45am- 12:15pm)

3. Resourcing - what are you using? How is it working for you? (12:15 - 12:30pm) -

4. General discussion - future of Outreach, impact of the new funding model, Inreach vs Outreach, on-line/inclass hybred .... - social issues and concerns . (12:30- 12:40)

My only request is for you to come to the session willing to share information, resources, and insight. This is a rare opportunity to get together with colleagues who are engaged in Outreach environments, teachers who understand what works and what does not when working with At Risk students and truly know the brilliance of Outreach education and the positive impact it has on kids.
