Running Heavy Labs In Covid Times-How Can We Do This Better?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

In this presentation, we will give you a broad array of ideas/strategies that will help you keep your hands-on labs running smoothly, during this time of enhanced cleaning protocols, in a possible remote learning scenario, and in general moving forward. We will discuss a variety of digital platforms that can be used in heavy labs to keep track of work/learning. We will also share with you some of the practices adopted to keep our students and ourselves safe now while we are in person, in hopes that you might find some β€œbest practices” you would like to adopt. In addition, we will cover what we have seen/heard from around the province regarding how to deliver β€œhands-on” experiences during remote learning. We will share with you a variety of CTS courses that are more conducive to being taught entirely digitally. These could be courses you may want to develop if students are at home isolating or if we move back into an at-home learning environment. We would encourage participants to contact the presenters by eMail with questions so we can add/build on the breadth of ideas presented in this slideshow. The intention of this presentation is not to give you a β€˜perfect’ way to run your lab during the pandemic, but rather to give you a variety of ideas and possibilities that will help you run your lab smoother both right now AND in the future.
