Cultural protocol has been offered on behalf of Endless Skies Teachers’ Convention Association to acknowledge and respect the teachings that are being sharing with us.

This session will be full experience of body, mind and spirit when it comes to First Nation cultural arts. We will be having important conversations that will be valuable in eliminating cultural appropriation as well as tokenizing First Nation arts. Participants will understand the significance of cultural art, the relationship to the land and the significant influence arts can have on identity. There is a respectful sequence to deliver such representing information. Participants will be able to see demonstrations of unique techniques and try a few of them. I have created classroom versions of multiple art forms for experience which you will be able to try as well. Each participant will be taking home lists of supplies for a few of the art techniques that we will be experiencing. I will be providing options for, beading, birchbark biting and baskets, quillwork, fish scale art and leather works. If experiencing First Nations art for the first time, these are activities for all ages.
