The Outreach Education Council, as the organization of outreach educators, promotes and advances outreach education by supporting and advocating for its members, creating a professional outreach community.



Vision
The Outreach Education Council is the metaphorical staffroom for practitioners of student-centered learning.

Objectives
The Outreach Education Council provides a connection between Alberta's Outreach Schools and the Alberta Teachers' Association.

Activities
The Council promotes communication among teachers in outreach schools in Alberta and provides an opportunity for teachers to share curriculum information and best practices. One of the ways in which it promotes communication is by organizing an annual conference.

Publications
Outlook, the newsletter of the Outreach Education Council, is published four times annually and provides information on council activities, conferences and updates on outreach education across the province.
