Sam Demma

Feature Speaker and Author, Thursday
Canada
Sam Demma is a highly sought-after keynote speaker. At just 23 years old, he has already made a significant impact as a 2-time TEDx speaker, author, and podcast host. In addition to his work as a speaker, Sam is also the youngest board director in the history of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and the co-founder of PickWaste, a volunteer organization that engages people in litter cleanup efforts in their communities.

Through his multimedia platform, The High Performing Educator, Sam has interviewed and highlighted the work of over 250 educators. His student programs have reached youth in six countries, inspiring them to take small, consistent actions toward their personal goals and make a positive impact on those around them. Sam's efforts have not gone unnoticed, as he was recently awarded the prestigious Queen's Platinum Jubilee Award for his exceptional contributions to his community and to Canada.

Sam's dedication to helping others and spreading messages of mental health, anti-bullying, and kindness did not waver during the COVID-19 pandemic. He created two viral graduation videos for students who missed their ceremonies and launched a partnership with Taco Bell Canada to encourage people to engage in acts of kindness. Sam's work has been featured on numerous news outlets, including Breakfast Television, CBC, CTV, Global News, and CityNews.

This spring, Sam will embark on a cross-country speaking tour to continue sharing these important messages with associations and schools. Equipped with a giant upside-down backpack, Sam is determined to make a difference in the lives of others and inspire them to be their best selves.
