Angela Hall is a MΓ©tis Albertan, retired school teacher, poet, artist, and mother. She has completed graduate level courses and certificates in Trauma Recovery, Grief and Loss, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Expressive Art Therapy, and Psychotherapy with Kutenai Art Therapy Institute, St. Stephens College, and the University of Alberta. Angelaβs focus has been in Indigenous Education for nearly 30 years. Her teaching roles include K-12 Teacher, First Nations, MΓ©tis and Inuit Facilitator, Consultant and Liaison, as well as First Nations, MΓ©tis, and Inuit Education Manager with Alberta Education. Angela was given the ATA 2009 Outstanding Aboriginal Educator Award. Most recently, Angela participated in a teacher exchange to Nicaragua that focused on Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Art. Outside of education, Angela received an honorable mention for her poetry from the Kemosa Scholarship (First Nations, Metis and Inuit Mothers Who Write, 2019) and won the 38th annual Peace Hills Trust Art Contest. She is a professional artist with the Bearclaw Gallery of Edmonton and is participating in the Alberta Foundation of the Arts TREX exhibition, titled Turtle Island.
