Executive Staff Officer, Collective Bargaining - Teacher Employment Services
Anne-Marie joined the Association’s Teacher Employment Services (formerly Teacher Welfare) executive staff in 2018. Anne-Marie holds a BA in International Relations, a BEd in Elementary French Immersion and a MEd in Educational Technology for Schools, all from the University of Calgary, and a Labour Relations Certificate from Queen’s University Industrial Relations Centre. Prior to joining the Association, Anne-Marie taught junior and senior high school Social Studies for 12 years with Calgary Catholic. She has taught in English and French. Anne-Marie served as Local 55’s TWC chair, the NSC vice-chair, a representative for the local council and an ARA delegate.

In addition to acting as a representative of the bargaining agent, Anne-Marie represents teachers in disability and benefit appeals, acts as observer to the Association’s Benefits, Insurance and Pensions Committee and to the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan Board. Anne-Marie is also a member of the Women in Leadership Committee, the staff advisor to the Fine Arts Council and expert in the area of Occupational Health and Safety (environmental).
